Re: 15 sec quartermile cavalier ls 95 /w pics

Stripped the interior and did I/E and ran a high 15 out of the 2.2? Um...well why not take it further? First get a CAI, CF fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid. Get some lightweight wheels and slicks. Remove all the glass and replace it with plexiglass. Remove power everything, remove all carpet. And of course, pull ALL audio equipment, including all speakers and the head unit.

After that go to the track and get an official quarter time. Then scan your slip and post it. You break into the 15's with a lightly modded 2.2 and you got my respect.

Oh ya, please dont do the electric S/C. Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad.

I know how nice it is to have your sub, however in my case I always needed to pull it out for hauling kids, dogs, strollers, computer shit etc. In your case you will want to pull it out for racing, hauling lots of beer, etc. I installed some plain speaker terminals into the side made it easy to take my sub in and out of my truck. I am planning to do the same thing for my cavalier. Then I can quickly and easily take my sub from my truck to my car depending on my current needs. I know you can hook it up and remove it straight from the amp but it’s a pain.

Also don’t you have separate pre-out off your deck for your sub amp? If you do you should have a button somewhere to turn on and off your “NF” Non Fader preout. This is how I turn on and off my sub. No need for a switch.

Anyway link to a pic of the speaker terminals below.

no its a 4 speed automatic, why would GM use 2 different types of automatic transmissions? They didnt, you have a 3 speed with over drive. Which makes it a 4 speed. He only has a 3 speed.

What, don’t you think I know the difference between a 3 speed and 3 speed with overdrive? The 99 I have does not have overdrive which really is bad on the hi-way running about 3000 revs. I don’t know why the stupid GM engineers have 3 tyranny options that year. Double check what you think you know before you post so you don’t end up looking like an ass!
