1/43 Mercedes C9- 1989 Le Mans winner (Mass-Reuter-Dickens)

I encountered a lot more problems with this model, compared to the others. A few decals shattered into 1000 pieces when they touched the water, so I had to make them myself. Then there were 2 headlight-lenses missing, forcing me to get 4 new ones from my scrap-box. Then I found out the box contains 3 large rims and 1 small one, instead of 2 large and 2 small ones. So I was forced to take 4 rims out of my scrap-box and put 2 large tires in the back, 2 small tires in the front. Otherwise the car just doesn't stand horizontal.

And then, as top of the bill, just before the car was completed, a metal ruler fell of a high shelf above my working space, causing a nasty hole in the roof of my model. I tried to cover the mistake as good as possible, but it's just impossible to repare the damage without a trace. That is why I am fabricating 2 gloves and a Jochen Mass helmet right now, to put on the roof, on top of the damage. By the way, don't search for the mistake in the pictures, I repaired the damage with photoshop, so you don't have to see this nasty stain and furthermore I wanted to have pictures of the model without the helmet or gloves as well...

Suitably touched up it looks fantastic.
How bad was the damage? Must be quite small if you can cover it up with some 1/43rd gloves and helmet.

Have you got a photo with the damage?
I love the rear wing! The CF looks awesome!
