foggy/frosted windows
I have a '97 Rav4 that's been in the family since '97, and every winter the windows fog up horribly (live in Minnesota so it gets cold). I'm doing the obvious which is putting on the defrost and allowing the a/c to run, but the windows allow almost zero visability. The back windows are the worse because the defrost doesn't hit them. Maybe I just have bad window seals but it's the most frustrating thing in the world when I have to use a scrapper on the INSIDE of my windows.
Any one else have this problem? Any suggestions? I've tried that fog spray/pad but that didn't do much come winter. I've read about vinegar and shaving cream so I may give that a try when it gets a little bit warmer out (so it doesn't freeze to my windows). I've roll down my windows but on days like today when it's literally 2 degrees outside I'm not really game for having the cold air hit my face as I drive 60 miles per hour down the freeway. I look at other cars and have yet to see one that's as bad as mine....HELP! |

Re: foggy/frosted windows
Alright, I may have answered my own question. After doing further research I found out that the airflow option should be set to getting new air in the car, and not the setting which reuses/recycles the air in the car. I had it on the recycling setting so I switched it and didn't fog up last night or on my way to work this morning, so hopefully that's all it took!! ::knock on wood::
