H22A Engine serial Numbers

Hello All I need some help..... Does anyone know how to interpret the Serial #'s on our H22's?

From what I have learned..... I think the 97' H22's (USDM) start with H22A4....... Am I correct?

Please tell me what you know about the serial numbers on the H22. I am about to look at some engines that are already pulled. I want to know what I am looking at. Thanks in advance.

Re: H22A Engine serial Numbers

Yes it is, but the SH engines are also the same code. Just make sure it has the regular axles and doesn't have the ATTS crap on it.

actually, h22a4 is for sh models only. all standard 5th gen. ludes are h22a1, just like the 4th gen. ludes.
