Do you guys believe in "what goes around comes around."

I believe in it. This guy that i knew was cheating on his girlfriend and was stealing merchandise. And one day it all came crashing down on him. He got arrested for stealing and his girlfriend caught him cheating.

On the other hand I know this nice guy who seems to have the best of luck. I'm not saying he does not have issues in life, but he seems to get all the good breaks.

If you have any experience please share them with us.

Nope, don't believe in Karma. I do believe in cause and effect, though. If you are a huge asshole to most everyon you know, eventually you're gonna catch the wrong person on the wrong day, and voila, being an asshole will "catch up with you." There's nothing mystical or otherworldly about it. Cause and effect, plain and simple, with a little luck thrown in every once in a while to make certain events seem not random.

I personally think that is BULLSHIT! I've been a nice person all of my life to everyone I know and encounter and hasn't SHIT good happened to me yet, if it's true when the fuck does my treating people good come back around? My point exactly IT DOESN'T and personally I'm tired of being a good person and not getting shit for it, I wonder if I started acting like an asshole I wonder if good things might come my way then!

Thrasher, Karma isnt what goes around comes around, its the whole reincarnation based on your actions in a past life. Not this one.

I believe in the whole "what goes around comes around" to an extent. You have to watch out for obvious things though. For example your friend who was stealing and cheating, eventually you are going to get caught doing those things.

What exactly is your definition of "what goes around comes around"? For me it's the sense of if you do something jacked up one day you will get yours.

What goes around comes around? Not always but it's great when it does. A long time ago I was working a dart booth at our church country fair. We were collecting cash and I noticed my partner pocketing some for himself! I thought dude, stealing is bad enough, but from the church? Anyway, we were working the last shift and closing up around 10:00 or 11:00 pm. When he went behind the booth to get his bike it was gone! HAHAHA, he got his!

I don't agree at all with that. Reincarnation is a fairy tale for all we know. This life is what we are given and this is what we have to work with here and now.


I have a friend who was crazy in highschool years, getting drunk all the time, brushing off classes, finding a few different chicks every weekend(even though he had a girlfriend), starting fights, etc. Now all of a sudden this religion thing hits him. He wont have sex or party, nothing. He wants to spread the word of the bible, its unbelievable, he thinks he's found the answer to life.

But when I look at it, I see him missing out on everything.

Right on Bro, thats is so me, makes me wonder why I do things right, when I get treated like shit by most people. I'm almost certain that if I start acting like a bastard, my life will become better for me. The good guy always gets screwed, it's a fact of life.

I'm always nice to people because I want to be. I don't want people to be assholes to me, so I won't be an asshole. If somebody acts like a jerk to me, I don't let it bother me because really, they are the ones with the problems. They are the ones that aren't in control of their own emotions. I'm happy where I am and I wont let somebody take me down. I don't know if I believe in 'what goes around comes around', but treating people in a good way will make you a happier person.

I share one simple event, that makes me believe that what goes around will come around. It may have been mere serendipity, yet~~~~~

A few years ago, traveling downstate on I-75 towards Detroit, winter, bad conditions. Car on side of road, older couple with flat tire. [that they were older is not the point]. I pull over, snow all around, I a healthy guy, jack it, change the tire, we all go on our separated ways.

About 1 year ago, on my local road, car dies [battery gives out, need a jump]. Car pulls over, guy comes out, offers a jump. I state my thanks, and he relates how some dude helped his grandparents a few years ago on I -75. So he thought he'd try to give back to some stranger what some stranger gave to his relatives.

It's true.
