How much for a 98 rodeo, 2.2L

I'm going to sell my suv and was wondering how much i should expect to sell it for. It's a 98 4cyl 5spd. it has 77,000 miles. everything else it good. I live in new england if it makes a difference.

Re: How much for a 98 rodeo, 2.2L

Oh, I can't remember if the 4-cylinder was offered in 4x4 or not. Is it a 4x4?

Only 2 bad things that I can think of personally, one that's had 2 Rodeo's, both V6's -

We're talking a heavy vehicle here for a 4-cylinder.

Another drawback that I would have, and possibly other Isuzu owners, is that the 2.2L is not an Isuzu engine, but rather a Chevy engine and one that seems to have a timing belt that likes to take it's revenge.

So if one inquires on the truck, and happens to know the 2.2L you may hit the sale better if that belt's been replaced recently. They seem to self destruct every 40-60K miles and have been known to take the engine with them.

I know you didn't ask for any explanation, just giving thoughts from one who's owned Isuzu's for the last 13yrs.

I looked up your truck's info on the KBB website, and in my area's zip code for Private Party sale, you could list your truck for $4,500

I think, if you were here in Colorado, you could get close to that if it were a 4x4 - this is 4x4 country, and 4x2's are frowned upon. I've never been to New England, 4x4 may not be needed, or wanted, there.

Good luck.

$4-5K sounds about right if it's in good shape & everything works as it should. Are you the original owner? How'd the truck treat you over the years? We don't hear very much about the 1998-2003 2.2L rodeos.

G/luck

Re: How much for a 98 rodeo, 2.2L

well i've only owned it for 4 months and now am tired for it. I should have gotten a six cyl. since 4 only gets me like 18mpg. i paid 4200, so you guys made me happy since i know i won't be losing much, but i've put in 5000 miles and it's been great. but i need better milage or better power.
