How close have you ever been to a real live...

I found it by my mailbox inside my apartment building; scared the living shit out of me! I thought it was a rubber toy until I reached for the mailbox and it looked up at me. It couldn't fly but I discovered that if I rubbed its back with a stick (which seemed to piss it off) it would react as shown in the first 3 pictures. I carefully put it in a spot in the nearby woods so it could possibly recover from its injuries and return to its family {}. I just thought I'd share.

His wingspan was about 1 and 1/2 ft. tip to tip. I felt bad for the little guy but I didn't want it jumping up onto my face

Anyway, you've made a mistake, i mean what if it's a real vampire, you should have just killed it to be on the safe side... I prefer the panicky- stomp the shit out of the gross looking freaky animal method.

They are common where I live see them all the time they swoop down pretty low ya find dead one every now and then. Those are great pics ya got.

bats are sweet, but if it couldnt fly it prolly wont live long in the woods. Most likely will be eaten by a Racoon, Fox, something along those lines. You should have put in in a box and kept it as a pet! Then have people spend the night and put the bat on them!
