Topout or Govener
Ok, I either topped my car out at 110-115mph or the govener kicked in. Im not too sure which one it was can anyone tell me? (At 115 it sounded like it kick me down a gear, slow me down to like 105, then I went back up to 115, and it kicked me down again.)

lol before i set mines to 250 (like it would ever do it) i was racing this guy in a bmw and as soon as we got to 125 it started jerking and shit, then i couldnt go any faster, i was so pissed. the next day i whipped out the old hp tuner and kicked up the limiter

yup, first time it happend to me, i was racing a mercedies SL500, like i had a chance in the RS, but we were in traffic (i know i know, it was several years ago and i was retarded, one of my realllllllly stupid moments.) and i held up with him till 115 when my car just stopped accelerating.

My damn Monte's guv is at 110-115 why the hell cant it just goto the seepometer limit?! I was racing this Plymouth Duster and I couldnt accelerate any more (I was at 110) and the damn thing just started going ahead, bastard.. I was winning too.

Also ever since THIS happend I NEVER race on the highway anymore, even though I know this really great highway too that has 0 cops on it and its like a 6-8 lane highway, and its always clear for some reason, enough to race on it anyway.

damn where do u live? when i use to live in ND we use to race on that highway all the time i think it was interstate 29. flat and straight for miles and miles. your radar detector could pick a cop us miles down the raod hell u could see them miles down the road if their were any. and nine time outta ten they didnt bother chasing u if they saw u speeding. nothing but farm land and a airforce base lol. great days in the eclispe back then

I live in TX, this highway is awesome but I dont go on it anymore because if I race on it is has to be like 60+ from a roll which is real bad for a 4 speed auto. Plus I found out when my tranny shifts its gears so I let off the gas and hit it again so it shifts like a manual, won LOTS of races because of it
