No offense, but the guy with the eclipse must not be able to drive. My stock 96 Eclipse GS will spank my friends Civic with Y8 all day long. And he has 15"s and I have 17"s. I know for a fact he can drive a stick good, plus my Civic vs my Eclipse I can tell a big difference. The gearing just feels so much better on my Eclipse.

Nice kill. The GS Eclipse is too heavy (2800lbs) for a 140hp engine.
I've never heard anyone call any N/A Eclipse "fast" - especially an auto.

When im at the track i see eclipses run 18's all day. They are very heavy cars with to small of a motor. I beat 2 turbo'd eclipes with my 240sx. They both had FMIC and all that good turbo stuff.

Re: so i beat that 98 eclipse GS :)

I have seen alot of 4th gens walk all over gs's. i have even bagged a few myself. I got beat on a freeway race though. I think that they are better geared for high speeds than my zc tranny
