Unhappy turning the car off

I noticed today for the first time that when I turn off the car, it sounds and feels like it's stalling. I have no clue what's wrong ... any suggestions??? Thanks...

:o Well you have a new car never hear dit happen in a new car, but that hass happened to me in older car's when the timing was off! Ask some one that know about timing or take it to a car place see if they will pull out a timing lite to see if your off!

Check your spark plugs to see if there tight when the engine is cold, check the wire's.
This is what I would do!

It should still be under waranty take it to the dealer.
They will pamper you there a reputable dealer. :alien:

AFAIK, that's not good for the cat... Unburned fuel, you know...

I had the opposite thing happen to me...when I started the car I felt hesitation, and stalled twice. The dealer compared my vehicle w/ another, and it was operating within manufacturer specifications.

They did however, find improper lubrication on the sealed bearing of my starter and replaced it.

The only thing I can say is to go to the dealer, and have them hook it up to the computer and see if they find anything there.

Good luck.

I read in the g20 fsm that tapping or revving the engine when turning it off is actually bad. So I'd just let is shut down by itself.

Check timing (could be over advanced causing pre-ignition) also check the condition and colour of your plugs, if they are overheating or they are cracked they could cause running on after you switch off. My Nissan dealer in the UK told me to remove the stock Champion plugs and replace with NGK - never gave an explanation just said they will always give trouble - not sure how it applies in USA. Also check you air filter is clean, a clogged one could cause your engine to run rich.

where did you get your clear headlights? Could I get these in the UK? Do you find they give out more light?

geoff: I manually made clear headlights (no plastic orange cover on the turn signals). There's a thread in the cosmetics section about it. I don't know of anyone that sells them for our car. They do give off more light, but you can't use a white bulb, they are illegal in the US. I just kept the stock bulb in there, and it gives off a yellow-ish light, especially since I have PIAA headlights and Eurolite Xenon fogs. Hope that helps!
