Re: a/c break down

Does the A/C clutch try to engage when called for?

You may just need a recharge.

Re: a/c break down

You should hear a click as well as hear the engine idle speed change slightly when it engages due to the extra load.

A click like "cdru" wrote, and you can see it in the Software... "A/C Request"... you can also test you clutch by tapping F4 and cursor up. Then you should hear the clutch clicking. Tab again F4 and yet use the cursor down key... you should hear the clutch again. Yet it's in normal position. To stop sending the signal by the software, only tab the "end "-Key.

Best regards
Mathias

Re: a/c break down

If you get HOT air when you switch to cold, I'd look for a problem with the diverter door acatuator.....

Re: a/c break down

IN fact I did remove that trim pad a few times to access and remove the instrument cluster some time ago and it is quite easy. But I had not checked for access to the diverter door actuator at that time.
