Blown Pioneer 6x9?

Hey guys, I bought a new set of pioneer 6x9's, and they are amped with a small pioneer amp. I noticed recently my bass wasnt hitting very hard anymore, so kinda played with the fader on the radio, and noticed the my passenger rear 6x9 is hardly getting power, or is maybe blown. I'm hoping its not blown, I'd rather buy a new amp because this one was given to me, and my speakers were very expensive, $150.00. Whats the possability of it being an amp/wiring problem, or do you guys think my speaker is toast? I didnt have time to play with anything tonight, so I will tomorrow, I'm gonna make sure all my connections are tight, but I doubt that will solve anything. The speaker seems to rattle very bad, and seems to not have enough power, which leads me to believe it is the speak, but whats your guy's take on it?

Maybe it was a refurb, or maybe you have your speakers out of phase...lots of things. Could be crankin too much juice!

no, not out of phase, because they sounded very good when I put them in. Hopefully wasn't a refurb, but probably was, I bought it "brand new" from ultimate electronics which since went out of business. I dont think a ts-940p 350Watts max 80 Watts nominal 6x9 is getting too much power from a pioneer deh-p6500 head and an old school pioneer gm-h50 amp, which I believe only puts out 25Watts rms per channel. But who knows. Any other ideas? Future considerations? what type of 6x9's to buy? Thanks.

just to keep you all informed, I took it to a friend, who knows a lot about this kind of stuff. He started playing with the amp, and its rca jacks, and when he'd jiggle the one that went to the blown speaker, it would'nt sound blown anymore. So I ripped the amp out, brought it to my basement workbench, and opened it up. There I found the rca jack solder points were broken. I completly unsoldered them, cleaned them up, and resoldered them in. Finally I put the amp back in my car, and the speaker sounds top notch again. Its funny how a 15 year old amp can still be working, and be so easy to fix. Why does stuff always seem to be made better when it was made back in the day?
