Exclamation help with tac installation....

I got a ‘95 neon and it doesn't come whit tachometer. I used an after-market for a wile and it got screwed. Now I got another one and it is not working. I came back to the store and I changed it, but I got nothing but a dead needle.
Any one knows what is the voltage that the tach wire has to have? Any other ideas? Help please!!!!

Re: help with tac installation....

Why not install a cluster that already has a tach in it? It is plug and play.

Re: help with tac installation....

I foud the problem....!!!!!!!!!!
I called Autometer and they said I need A tach adapter. the signal from the pcm on the neon is 2.something volts and aftermarket tachs are engineered to work on 12v signal.. so I'll kip you posted on that when I get the adapter..
