does your engine perform better with, or without the O2 sensor??

just womdering, cuase i installed a heder, and forgot to put in the o2 sensor, i had it connected later, and car seems to run slower, is this right??

yeah, its gonna make your car throw a code. I ran my 89 si without the o2 hooked up for awhile cause the o2 sensor was sending a bad signal and making my car bog, its also going to make you run really rich and use more gas.

and just out of curiousity, did you forget to put the o2 sensor into the bung on the header or just forget to click it into the harness, cause I'd think you would be able to hear a huge exhaust leak as soon as you started the car if you forgot to put it in the bung.

when i installed my header, it cam bith a bolt, in the header where the sensor goes, i just trew out the old one, its was all cracked and wires were coroded, so i said ill eventually get a new one, picked up a new one from work, and seems a bit slower now

How can you find out if the O2 sensor is even working??

Maybe get an Air/Fuel gauge and hook it up...

a/f guage aint gonna do shit unless you have a wideband

dont forget to reset your ecu now too since it was probably throwing a code for it before.

I just meant to see if he has power going through the circuit... I guess a voltmeter would work too
