Feelgood B.S Analogies

All names have been changed for my own fucking amusement

Have you ever heard the term,"don't worry, you'll get there!" or "your getting there, just keep trying"? Here is a scenario, feel free to act this out with a family member, friend etc.

Janis* is visiting with her mother Lynn*. Janis is telling Lynn of the extremely emotional break down she had because her life is a pile of shit at the moment. Lynn then proceeds to tell Janis that "things will be okay, you'll get there, don't worry about it".

End scenario.

What pisses me off is why the fuck do people say that? Where the hell is "there"? How do you get "there" enventually, if you had no idea where "there" was? What happens when you get "there". What if there is a wrong way go back sign "there". Why do people always use Dr Phil, feelgood bullshit, analogies to brush off or avoid having to be realistic about life and/or impending doom/apocalypse.

One more question:
Who are 'THEY'? Where do 'THEY' come from? 'THEY' seem to know a whole fucking lot. How does one become a 'THEY'?

"They" are the F.B.I, and they WILL come for you If you don't figure out how to escape to a town north of Germany, called "Lynschberg" with a device known as a "Atomiser".

They are after you!!

Re: Feelgood B.S Analogies

haha, um, i just made it up, unless there really IS a town called Lynschberg??

*ed*

I said it because I wasn't quite too sure what the thread was about. As far as I could tell, ann is upset from family giving their support? Or am I missing something?

Re: Feelgood B.S Analogies

yes, i would rather my family give me realistic advice to help me with my problems then my mother saying stuff that you hear all the time. i wouldn't say that to anyone. it's a callous brush off.

I've used this a couple of times: Lifes a bitch and sometimes sucks but you'll probable get over it. If not go fuck something or someone up and you'll feel better.
