ECM B fuse blowing

For general information:

My 99 Suburban K1500 work truck died while driving on the way to work last week.

Fuel pump had quit.

ECM B fuse in fuse/relay box under hood had blown.

Found totally plugged fuel filter. Changed filter, replaced fuse. Checked fuel pump relay (in same box), saw one pin that appeared to have been hot. Changed relay.

Truck started. Still running fine.

157,00 miles on truck. 33,000 miles on pump which was replaced 08/04. Stopped up fuel filter also had 33,000 - was replaced during pump replacement.

Keep a clean fuel filter I guess is the lesson here.

Hope this helps somebody.

Bob
