Angry Four-way Stops. Are the concepts behind them really that hard to understand?

What the fuck is it with some of these dumb fuck asses who cannot grasp the concept of an intersection with a four way stop??!?!?! I honestly want to get out of my car, break through their driver's-side windshield and begin to repeatedly smash their face into their steering wheel until they choke on their blood and teeth. I hate coming to a Stop and getting ready to put my foot back on the gas only to have some inconsiderate prick do the ole' rolling stop (which is acceptible IF nobody is around) right in front of my nose as he scoots infront of me forcing both of us to Stop. I down right loathe this and it really makes my blood boil. The kicker is after you honk your horn, yell a few select profanities, and shoot them off, THEY have the nerve to stick their hands in the air, like it is your fault. Or they stare at you with stupidest look on their face, as if they are a monkey trying to solve a math problem. I want to get my hands on an old beaten down Mercury Grand Marquis so that next time this happens, I can say "fuck it, I am not stopping for this tool bag" and drive into the motherfucker. I would love to see what they would do then! I hope all the stupid cunts that drive like this learn a lesson the hard way one of these days. Fuck you all!

I think you took the stress release a little to seriously.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW ABOUT 4-WAY STOPS!!!

Look at the car who stopped just before you and when he goes, you go.(when its clear of course) You have to do this BEFORE you get to the stop sign.

I agree, I hate it when people do that shit. Also when people roll up to the stop and then just sit there. People are honking and trying to wave them across and they just wave them back across. Damnit when its your turn to go, GO!

Yeah, ive had that happen to me so many times recently because of a stop light being down. So everyone that has done it has gotten the air horn when they are right next to my front end.

Four ways stops don't seem to be so annoying. What I find annoying is people driving against a one way road. I just want to take out my knife and stab them till they are dead.

Re: Four-way Stops. Are the concepts behind them really that hard to understand?

When it's my turn, its my turn... I just go anyways. If we wreck, it's their fault because I had the right away.

I have seen people stop when they have the right away and NO STOP SIGN. That just cheeses me off. I just sit there until they realize their stupid mistake.

I used to have an old MGM, and was just waiting for an idiot to do something stupid.

If you do this, make sure you have a witness to say the other guy was at fault - that way their insurance will have to pay you.

Re: Four-way Stops. Are the concepts behind them really that hard to understand?

hehe i had to sit around as a "witness" to an accident for like 4 hours once. Two people at a four way stop sign are adjacent to one another. That is, one was trying to go straight, West. the other was trying to go straight South. They pulled up at the same time. They both started to go and both stopped when each realized. Then both again. Then both again. Then they BOTh jumped forward and ran into the corners of their respective bumpers. I was sitting in my jeep watching this whole thing. I just thought it was HILARIOUS.

this happened to my cuz on sunday, his making a left turn and this lady just goes like its her turn. They should make a law that your IQ has to be higher then a certain level so you can get a license.

O and when two cars come at the same time the one on the right goes first.

Stupid Law (well sort of)
If 4 people come to a 4 way stop at the same time. The person who goes first will be held liable for any accident involving any of those 4 cars. This is in California. Not sure about other states.

i live in alaska and we just got two roundabouts (http://www.alaskaroundabouts.com/) put in last fall. believe it or not, they run pretty smoothly until someone decides to shut their brain off and not follow the rules. it's not that hard!!!! the only thing is that in the winter when everything gets icy people still get really nervous going around the roundabouts even if they have ABS, four wheel drive, studded tires, and a five-point saftey harness.
