How can you tell?

how can you tell if an engine is turbo or not? like.....in this pix, how can u tell its turbo?

what about this one?

in both pics you can see the turbocharger. in the top pic it is the snail lookin thing attached to the blue tube on the right. the red spark plug wires are just to the left and under the turbo.

in the bottom pic the turbine section of the turbo has a metal heat shield to protect the rest of the engine from the heat it makes. the turbo is on teh left side of the engine. it has an aluminum tube going into the top right of it and a black tube going into the front.

If it has one of these on it, its turboed. Also listen for a whislte, an air release sound between shifts, adn wheelspin.lol

all turbos look like a snail-like thing but there are also some superchargers that have something like that, if you're determining wether or not it's turbo'd, make sure if you see that thing there's no belt attached or it's a supercharger. i realize that turbos are a typer of supercharger but it's easier to refer to them as separate.
