My Corvette drag car (work in progress)

Here is my version of a corvette drag car . Its still a little rough around the edges, but soon enough it will be lookin good. I basically swaped the LS1 for a chevy big block, added a racing seat, nitrous, fuel cell in the trunk, drag wing, skinnies up front(stock ones in rear until I find replacements), I also added a few gauges, a racing steering wheel, and a dash tach, and gave it a 5 speed slush box in place of the stock vette 4 speed auto. Thats about it, I plan to add a roll cage sometime in the future, and change the tires in the rear. enjoy!

P.S.- sorry about the poor photo quality, I am still learning with the digi camera.

Re: My Corvette drag car (work in progress)

This is the fifth drag car to appear on here? Ever since people got interested in that drag supra people have been building drag cars like hotcakes. This one looks good too!

What car did the engine come from? Any details on it?

No, the corvette is not a bburago, it is an Ertl corvette. I picked it up from toys r us about a year ago for $8 because it was damaged(the only thing i found wrong with it was that the mirrors were missing). The engine came from a hotwheels 57 chevy pro street.

Ok, I have added the roll cage and removed the interior door panels to save weight. I am still in search of the rear slicks. Feed back welcome, enjoy!

I never changed the paint or wheel/tire combo. You must be thinking of the other drag vette in a different thread.

Re: My Corvette drag car (work in progress)

looks like ERTL (bottle)

The model looks very nice, yet I'm afraid that the roll cage wouldn't pass tech...

Looks like you used lolli-sticks to make the cage.

The NOS bottle came from the ertl fast and furious supra. And yes there is a fuel cell in the trunk, and I know the roll cage isn't the best, I think its my first one i've built, but other than that thanks for the feedback.
