Need advice on swap

My friend swapped a D16Z6 into his 89 civic hatch with a 1.5. He used the original ecu (89 civic hatch) and tried to wire the injectors off of that ecu. Just as thought it didnt work. My advice was the ECU that controlled the D16z6 and the harness as well. Any advice?

Re: Need advice on swap

you need to look in the FAQ at the top of this forum for a multipoint injection conversion. you need to do that conversion first just get that z6 to even start up, and thats if you use an OBD0 distributor, injectors, resistor box, and ECU. if you want to use the injectors, distributor, and ECU from the z6, you will need to additionally convert to OBD1
