f body gathering in atl

i just got back from a week long party in atlanta for the f-body gathering and it was the bomb! for anyone who has never been maybe next year you should try an come. i seen so many bad ass camaro's from all years and makes it was the best. ill post pics in the next few days of some of the cars that were there. i ended up winning a award in the car show in the v6 class i was floored, it was cool as hell. anyways alot of folks came from all over the country and some chevy big wigs came they brought the new z06 and the ss cobolt they were both sweet as hell! hope at g10 some of u guys drive through and represent for the f-body.

we did, i forgot the guys name but i do recall seeing his name in that post were they said they scraped the zeta project so i know he's a guy at the top of operations, he said by next year a rear wheel v8 car that would be concidered a f body would be shown to the public. the name is still a toss up but they are trying to make it say camaro on the back, well have to see. but yeah over 400 people at a dinner with him taking questions u know someone broght that up. he said it pissed him off that people had to buy mustangs but what else can u expect when people want new cars and all thats left in your level is the competition. he said by next year we will be thanking him or beating him down because by then we will have all seen what the new car looks like. but he also said dont expect it to be for sale by next year, just a peek at it.

Well thats pretty good but if it DOES have the Maro name on it, im buying it, no matter if I have to SLEEP in the damn thing, it's gunna be mine, in the highest option avialiabe.

yeah ill be all over it too. he said it was going to have a beefed up v8 so im looking forward to getting some nice power stock! if its cool looking and for some reason it doesnt say camaro i may still buy the damn thing, but like i said it depends on how good it looks.

This is good news, philly. Glad ya had fun man, damn, i wish i could go to an f-body gathering, maybe someday when the car is running real good, close to perfect, i'll take a damn vaca and travel with it to one, one day. What they give for any award? Are you still doing the LS1 swap? That would of been cool if they gave you a free LS1.

DAMN, see now i could have made it to that one man you should have posted about it beforehand, i dont know maybe you did and i missed it but i wish i could have made it, i couldn't come for a whole week but i'd take a few days off. most everything big that goes down in ATL is bangin. FROM NOW ON EVERYONE TELL ME ABOUT EVERY F-BODY GATHERING!

I agree LT1MAN. We are all scattered over the U.S. and possibly other continents, but if there some shit going down any area and you know about, post it anyways, we might be able to make to one of them, they seem so damn cool!!! Philly, how many different f-bodies showed up?

i have a disk of pics ill find john and send them to him because hes good at the pic thing, im not that way we can all see the pics, they had cars from all 4 generations, over 60 car clubs incluiding mines came, year one brought some cars, nascar brought 2 cars, and gmmg brought alot of cars incluiding a zl1. gm brought a new zo6=bad ass car and even though i knocked the cobolt, the ss was sweet and i would buy it! this was the ninth year it went on next year will be 10, its the same time every year for info just go to fbody gathering.com i beleave it is and get all the info. it was a blast, i never seen anything like it in my life, trans ams camaros everywhere all kinds. i hope many of u come next year, it was great to win something i didnt expect to but i did, and yes the ls1 swap will be going on, but because ill be to an externship for school this summer it will take me all summer to build the engine, and from sept-dec. to get everything else that ill need for the swap.by next april it will be all done, and im thinking to top it off ill be rocking a procharger if they give us the deal we are trying to get. oh and of coarse u know a nice 300 shot of laugh gas, im building a nitrouse engine again!

oh yeah and as u can see i got the ss hood now and some zo6 wheels i had to make her look nice before the gathering. when im done with the swap ill be selling my built 3800 for any 6 guy who may be interested. ill sell it cheap, i put over 2 grand into it but im not trying to get that back ill tell more when that time comes

thanks man, my buddy just got his 02 ss finished a few weeks ago, big ass cam we pulled the engine out of our shop vet and sold it to him it was like 500hp motor then he added that cam and a few other things, along with a 100 shot dry set up and a 300 shot wet set up, the car is loud and sick as hell. layed down over 800hp on the dyno, cant get a good track time yet because the damn thing hasnt hooked good yet, he went sideways 3 times saw the sky a few times and stalled it a few times. hes still learning to drive the damn thing its sick, but when he gets her to hook we are thinking he'll get a nice time slip

I just posted this elsewhere but I may wanna buy some goodies off your 6 when its time is ended if thats the way youre gonna go... someone remind me about this next year because I have a buddy down there I can stay with, and I would not mind this and also would bring it up to my club.

dont worry ill let u know, im going that rout my mind is made up, i just wanted to shut some people up that told me to ditch the 6 for an 8 because they were slow, i got my point accross, now im going for that over 600hp mark. a couple of guys in my club are in the 800 and abouve click, so now im going after them.
