Side mirror toggle arm 2000 Bug

The toggle arm that selects the L or R outside mirror has boken off?
how does the door removal work and did anyone else have this problem?

You are going to need a new switch.

There are 3 t20 torx screws at the bottom of the door and under the door handle which you need to pry off there is 2 philips screws. Then just pul lthe door pannel off.
