Headlight not working right.
I have 85 GT and my headlights aren't working right. When I turn them on, the left side motor for the light doesn't stop spinning. I think it's an internal problem. Has anyone ran into this problem??? I probably need to buy a new light motor right. Any help???

Hey Cyvic , sounds like the green plastic stops ( Bumpers ) are about gone on your headlight motor . You may want to rebuild the motor rather than buy a new one . A new headlight motor goes from about $128-$160 each . You can pick up a rebuild kit from Rodney Dickmam for $ 21.50 per side . I would recomend rebuilding both motors . You can contact Rodney at :

YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO STOP THE HEADLIGHT MOTORS FROM MOVING WITH THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH. A HEAVY DUTY THREE POSITION SWICH WILL DO THE TRICK. WITH SEPERATE CONTROL OF THE MOTORS A LIMIT SWITCH FAILURE WON'T DESTROY YOUR MOTOR(S)

Here is a site for a guy who sells Fiero parts CHEAP! I've bought several parts from him. Sometimes hard to get in touch with but when you finally do, he will have what you are looking for. http://www.kickhill.com/fiero.html Later and GOOD LUCK!! JoeZamp |

headlight problem
I ran into the same problem with my fiero. Indeed, you will need to replace the motor. They're usually not too expensive, around $30-$40 at a salvage yard.

Re: Headlight not working right.
If you replace the '85 assemblies with 87-88 ones, in the future you can rebuild the headlight motors rather then replace them when they begin acting up.
