Question Intake Question

will this BOMZ RACING Air Intake System Fit with a EvoIII 16g turbo? or Would it just be better to get the Injen intake? I would like this one because of the much lower cost, But it must work w/ the 16g aswell! Does anyone know? Thanks!

Re: Intake Question

I saw some1 selling a mod'ed Injen intake for 40$ on ebay that will fit only 16g because its bigger. He cut off one side (turbo side) and welded a bigger pipe on it. The bomz intake fits t-25 i think. george had 1 on his spider and it fit perfectly, thats what he told me.

Re: Intake Question

ok well...i dont know if anyone reads this Thread anymore...but i have a problem...i think... I purched the BOMZ racing intake...and my bov still works...you just cant here it now that the intake is on... so i left the cone filter on...and put the stock intake pipe back on...and the bov sounds tight... only thing is, i payed for the BOMZ intake pipe and want to use it... but i like the bov sound... did i do something wrong? is there a way to get the stock bov louder? (w/ the full BOMZ intake...sounds like just a turbo car w/o a bov)

Re: Intake Question

The stock intake *rubber* has a dump tube, i dont think bomz has it and i dont know why its not sounding softer. Usually a metal intake should make spooling louder and the sound of the bov louder. I think its your stock bov, replace it with the 1st gen.

If you're on a budget and just want a bov that works then I'd suggest buying a 1g bov instead of the type S since it's much cheaper or you can try finding a used type S.
For your FMIC check out ---> http://www.johnnyracecar.com/
I also suggest having a FMIC as one of your later mods or do it when you install the evoIII 16g. Spend your money on other support mods first.

Re: Re: Re: Intake Question

I bought the Bomz intake for my t-25 and the damn coupling is too big...it doesn't even fit on the intake part well at all...I don't get it....it's this cheap shit that like..melts...and mine is so shitty that it like falls off so i had to mod it to where the pipe is pushing up against something so it doesn't fall...don't ever buy bomz!!! it's nothing but pure shit.

Re: Intake Question

To dump to the atmo propery you need a gm maf and a translater. Which will run you about $260 new.
