new car

I am looking to buy a new car or mod the one I am driving right now. Currently I am driving a 95 Del Sol Si if I were to keep it I would do an engine swap to an integra gsr engine (B18c1), carbon hood, and sparco seats. I currently have an apex n1 exhaust as well. I figure to do all this will cost about 4 grand. I could also sell my car right now for about 6 grand and theoritically have 10 grand to spend on a car. I want to have something that will be relaible enoguh to get me threw college, but want to have soemthing that will be a decent sports car. One of the top cars I have been considering is a 97-99 eclipse gst. The only problem with this is I heard they are very unreliable. Let me know what you think or any other options I can look at.

if your gonna swap just get the b18c5, del sol is light too... but get some nice wheels on there....
