Hi, I'm 17 years old. I just got a 1990 Lumina 4 doors.Imagine that....84k..... It is a good lookin car.. I'll get Euro mags on it. I got a Chromed front grill...
Yea...isn't Pimp!! :P I like the rear light! They're huge! I want to know... Is it realy a 90 hp motor in it??....A 3.1 V-6....90hp.... I read this on the internet... Anyway...I'm not those kind of young crazy drivers but...I would want to have more torque to...beat a Honda Accord with...140hp...Maybe there is no performance parts... Does exist a 3.4? Thx I will be often on this forum...I'm canadian...quebecois!! French too!! |

Re: Performance?
the 3.1 has 140 hp. and its got plenty of torque to whatever you want. its got more power than the car needs. i have a job notorious for fast driving, delivering pizzas, and really couldnt imagine driving anything else delivering pizzas, even though ive had my sights set on different cars since before i got it. but its a good car. and it wont die, haha. oh yeah, i can beat my friend in his 96 golf with the 2.0 4 cylinder, 5 speed. that has 115 hp stock and is moderately heavy. his car was basically stock aside from his short ram intake. my car is stock aside from the repalcement muffler

Re: Performance?
Punky's probably right, I don't know about a '90, but my '97 has 170 hp.

Re: Re: Performance?
i just checked and the 90 actually has 135 hp, just a little less than the 91 - 94's. and to answer your other question, there is a 3.4 out there and i think its said to make 210 hp. it would be pretty sweet to get my hands on one of them. and yeah, the rear lights are my favorite part of the 90-94 luminas.

Re: Performance?
Yeah that 210 hp 3.4DOHC. Finicky motor, but I'd like to have one.
If I had money to burn, I'd like to put an Aurora V8 in the Lumina and make some jaws drop.

Re: Re: Performance?
i like either the first or last one. i dont really like red, but those two look pretty good. i like how the last one has a muscle-ish look to it. and the top sorta reminds me of a volvo, hah.

Re: Performance?
I'd go with the second one (black one) just because of the miles no doubt...
