99 LS Heater Squealing Sound

Hey everyone.
In my 99 LS Blazer, when I turn the heat on..and up I get this loud kind of squeal noise coming from the heater. When I turn the heat down sometimes it go's away. I have no clue what this is and is pretty irritating and would like to resolve it. Any help is always appreciated.

Does it make that sound only when you turn the heat on or anytime you turn the air on? If it makes that sound anytime you turn the air on it may be your blower is about to go.

Sounds like the blower motor is close to packing it in.

Just got back from a two hour road trip and I am starting to hear it when the air conditioning is turned on as well. Is the blower motor somthing that can be fixed without the cost of taking it in or will my Haynes book be enough? Also what is the cost of a replacement motor here in Canada?

Re: 99 LS Heater Squealing Sound

Check your local parts suppliers for prices.

It should be an easy fix.
