Video Game based movies???

Okay...i've been reading magazines like Game Informer etc., and "they say" that they are goiing to start making movies based on video games. Games like Max Payne, they say, is going to be a movie with Tom Cruise as Max. They also say they are going to make Metal Gear Solid a movie. Wat do u guys think about it???

Resident Evil was good in my opinion. I could see a game like Max Payne turning into a good movie. These games have a real story behind them which is why they could be good movies, games like mortal kombat and street fighter...trying to put a real storyline behind those games just make them crappy. Speaking of crappy video game movies anyone remember the mario brothers movie lol?

Lol...thats true. I thought Mortal Kombat suck and Streetfighter too. I think the only video game based movie that was good was Tomb Raider and Resident Evil. Well...i thought they were okay.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong Gotti, it was a feakin awesome movie, but...well, I guess it stayed pretty true to the comic story. It's hard choice...

They're just making movies from videogames because it will attract the gamer who played the game that they're making the movie about, which inshort means easy money, and yeah tomb raider sucked, badly, so did RE2, RE1 was alright but not the sequel, I prefer 28 Days later over RE though.

28 days later was more competition for Dawn of the Dead and RE2 was way better than the first.
