For sale:91 metro

Well, I got my 91 metro up and running, and then the frame cracked on me yesterday. Anyone good with a welder should be able to fix it. I have no clue why it cracked, there is almost no underbody rust at all. I'm done playing with the car. It's got a 60,000 mile engine in it, and it runs REALLY strong. Starts up fast, didn't burn a drop of oil. Needs an exhaust tho. New tires, new clutch, new shift linkage bushings were put in when I replaced the engine. $500 OBO. Body is in excellent condition. If anyone is interested, i'll supply any pics you want.

I'm thinking a good question is "what were you DOING when the frame cracked????"

Heh, i'm from Michigan. Actually, I was slowing down FROM 35 :-P to a stop light, and my tires started squealing, and the steering wheel got really loose. It cracked above the front passenger control arm mount. Pretty easy to get at with any welder. The red line is where it cracked.
