Peugeot 307 Stalling...
First off, let me just say that I am not a mechanic, and I really don't know the names of the car parts i will be mentioning in English, so please bare with me.
I have a 2005 1.6L Peugeot 307 with manual transmission, its got about 20,000 KM on it now, and for the longest time I had a problem with the car giving a loud squeak as I started to accelerate while on 1st or 2nd gear. As the noise got louder I took it to the Peugeot dealership and they said its a problem with the "Springs in the Exhaust System" (again I don't know the names in English so I'm translating as best as I can) and they tightened them and the squeak was gone... For a few days.. I went back and forth to the dealership trying to find a permanent solution for the problem, with no result, and also the car started stalling and it wasn't idling very well, along with a lot of problems with accelerating, as if the fuel supply wasn't reaching the motor smoothly.. I finally went to a mechanic and he told me the screws were worn out and I needed a new spare part (The exhaust system springs, located under the motor, which are basically 2 springs and 2 screws). I have installed the part, and the squeaking is gone so far, but I am still left with the stalling and idling problem and acceleration problem, and the car gives a "STOP" light when i start it followed by a sound (checked the manual and checked everything it refers to and yet the sound won't go).. I have replaced the spark plugs, checked the oil, air filter, used a fuel system and injector cleaner, and I still can't figure out what the problem is.. If anybody has any recommendations on what to check please let me know. Thanks a lot. Rami.
