Exhaust Rating

I just had this idea just for the heck of it. Its simple, rate your exhaust. I hope it works out as a information source for those looking for a exhaust. Heres how it works. And sorry if this has been done before.

Name of the Exhaust:
Make/Model/Year of Car:
Modifications if any:
How it sounds:

Ill give it a start, I have 2 of them acctually.

Apex'i N1 Cat Back
Mazda RX7 GTU 90 non turbo
Just the exhaust, no silencer
Had a pretty deep tone to it in all ranges, but at WOT it got pretty loud.

HKS High Power Cat back
Honda Civic DX 94
B16A2 Swap, AEM CAI, Greddy 4-2-1 header, I dont think the flywheel and clutch make much a difference. No silencer
I really like the sound. Even for a 4 banger its got a slightly deep tone. And the muffler isnt that big. Even at WOT it has a good tone, not like a buzzing at all, when the Vtec kicks in though, still slightly deep, but you can notice the difference.

Hope this leads to some good information for those that want it.

Re: Exhaust Rating

Magnaflow Custom Cat back 2.25" Inlet, 3" Diam. Tip
Single Wall, Straight Rolled Edge and 2.25" exhaust piping and resonator

1995 Honda Civic DX Coupe
AEM Cold Air Intake
Sounds good when you pound it from the start but tends to get at its loudest at around 3500-4500 rpms. Has a deep sound to it but sometimes the drowning sound gets annoying even though its not that bad.

Re: Exhaust Rating

5 zigen fireball muffler 2 1/4" piping 18" res catco 3" cat.

car 1991 Honda civic with intake, mild port and bore on exhaust mani
on my d15b1 sounded so deep it had to do with the slow reving and DPI system but rumbled like a stock 4.6mod lil whine up top but still good.

mild port on exhaust and intake mani, slight port on exhaust mani
on my d16a6 sounded awesome that motor has deep intake tone and still heard it suck more then the exhaust.

very soon i'll update how she sounds with some new toys.

So far on my tiny little motors its a great exhaust I love its sound and looks sharp. Pretty loud esp with short L3 tranny and a y1 but other then highway driving its a blast.

Re: Exhaust Rating

ebay "HKS" mufflers (yes i have dual exhaust) attached to a custom 2.5'' pipe with a 27'' inch resonator.

93 Civic EX

'00 GSR motor swap, intake and header.

Sounds mean as hell at WOT, but you can barely hear it at idle.
