Re: Anyone going to the Bash?

Well i thought hard about it and weighed out my money situation. IRP is aprox. 10hrs and 700 miles from me, so i figure i would have to fill up 3 times going out there and 3 times back. $ 150 bucks for gas. Another 100-200 for a room even with crashing with someone. THe registration fee, and then money for food and burning up on pointless crap to return home with. I honestly can't swing that kind of money at this point in time seeing i will be having 2 cars in my name this fall so i can put my cavalier away for winter and since its a brand new car my insurance is going up almost 600 bucks. I also refuse to make that long of a trip by myself and my other local buddies agreed with me on all of this and we are not going to do it. We were hoping for Lordtown OH again and we were going to go, but not Indy. So instead there is a meet memorial Day weekend at Watkins Glenn Race track that a JBO member rented out for us and 30+ j's are comming. So its basically going to be a bash pre-meet. I'd love to go, but i can't physically afford it. Sorry tim. I am also gettin me new Seats at the Glenn meet. So by not going i can continue to blow money into the car.... HAHAHA.. Maybe next year if they move it back to OH again i will make the trip.

Re: Anyone going to the Bash?

Thats too bad, I wanted to meet you. Thats pretty sweet someone rented out Watkins Glenn for you. And I got a room at the Super 8 for 60 bucks a night. But yea, its gonna be an expensive trip. My drive is gonna be about twice what yours is. We figure its about an 18 hour drive. Im going with a big group of the Colorado J's though, it should be sweet.

Re: Anyone going to the Bash?

Yea its not gonna be cheap. Right now my budget is right around 700 bucks. Bout 130 for the hotel, 250 for gas both ways, plus snacks, meals, and entry fees, then on top of that spending money. But Im getting one maybe two people to come with me so the cost will be split some. It will be worth it though to see the hottest Cavs around all in one place though.
