Question Heater Issue

I have a 2000 S10 Blazer and yesterday while on a long trip I noticed that when I select say the defrost setting that the fan seems to be operating but the ducts don't open to allow the air onto the front window. I tried the other settings and got similar results. Any ideas?

What happens when you try the air condioner? Have you had any work done to this truck recently?

Re: Heater Issue

Check your vacuum lines going to the vacuum ball in the engine bay.

Recently we had a cooling system flush and burp. Can you direct me under the hood concerning the location of the "vacume ball".

This seems to happen after prolonged drive times. It's almost like the airflow baffle returns to a closed position.

There is no "ball" in the engine bay....chances are it's in the driver side fender up by the ABS system piping...small trap door right by the hinge...

Thats' where it is in my 99...you will see a hose going to it.

Yes there is. They might not all be in the same location, but it is there.

Oh I'm sorry I wasn't clear...there is no vacumm device shaped like a "ball", there IS a vacumm device that is somewhat retangular that is located in the driver side fender in a somewhat obscure location. It performs the same function, but felt if this gentlemen was searching for a ball he'd look for an extended period of time. He shall find the vacumm device as i instructed...

Thanks
