a few little problems and one biggie

ok...i have a few problems with the eclipse

1) when i pull up to stop lights sometimes the RPMs drop to the low 100s. what might cause this and what could fix it?

2) when i change gears (park>drive park>reverse reverse> drive ect.) there is a small pop noise...ive heard it before but only occasionally...now it seems to do it every time i put it in a diff gear. any ideas? tranny going out????

3) today i got in to start my car and got nothing....the starter clicked but other than that there was nothing...its not the battery because i had a charger hooked up to it and it said full charge...also set the charger to 50 amps to try and start it (50 amps is plenty enough to start it) and i got the same thing...just the starter clicking....also all the lights blink really fast from their regular brightness to really really dim...getting towed tomorrow ( never thought i would see this day come) to the shop but i was hoping to get some ideas tonight so i know what to expect.

any answers to any of these probs would be awesome guys...thanks

You have a vacuum leak, that's the low RPM thing. That clicking shit happened with mine.. It only happened for a day....I tried charging the battery and everything...but nothin...not even lights. It has never happened again though so I can't help you. Try putting a bible over it and praying see if that does anything.

thanks for the help..ended up being the battery..it was compleatly shot...replaced it and i havnt noticed the rpms dropping...it still clicks though...and no i love my rims

i LOVE your rims to. I wish I had some but a 15 year olds salary isnt going to pay for rims.

Also, if that ever happens in the future, make sure the shifter is alllllll the way into park, sometimes the car wont start if its just barely into park. But you mihgt have known that...

for the starting thing....check your battery cables. make sure they're not corroded or loose.

I have the same rims and love them. They are ICW racing wheels tridents I think

ok...battery problem solved...but what about the poping noise when i change gears?? it bugs me...also...i havnt really looked at it...but how hard is it to replace the plastic inner fender...mine's missing a big chunk right beside the front bumper
