Saleen S7 pen & ink

Trying to work on the drawing skills.

Also trying to focus on line weight.

The wheels and the left front light bother me in this one.

And the big side vent.

But not enough to redo it

Very nice, don't bother yourself with imperfections. True artists are rarely completely satisified with their work. You'll feel it looks good but there's always something wrong. Just keep sketching and don't let your passion for Art escape you. I'm sure the next ones will be better and better.

Thanks subyfanatic - I just got to get the bad ones out of my system

(Grant thinks of a way to spin his bad drawing) Distract the viewers with

a keen yet vulgar - overstated ricer paint job.

Now that's cool... reminds me of those famous BMW Art Cars.

Wow good job. Cool paintjob. I have to learn how to use my wacom, too.

Do you mean these?

They are really cool. Great artists. Andy Warhol and others...

Re: Saleen S7 pen & ink

I have never seen those.
Andy warhol? Hockney! Cool. I thought I was just poking
fun at my drawing. But it looks like someone
beat me to postmodern paintjobs
Those BMWs are REAL cool!
Thanks for the replies

Re: Saleen S7 pen & ink

The BMW Art Cars were all nice, some better than others. These are some of my favorites.

Re: Saleen S7 pen & ink

There once was a painted BMW le mans car, open, prototype class, designed by a female artist, one or two years ago. I haven't found pics on google. Does somebody know what I'm talking about?

Might be this one, done in 1999 by Jenny Holzer. She wrote messages on it, it's not really painted like the other art cars.

Very cool drawing. I like how clean it looks. Did you use a ref? Nice paint job too.

Re: Re: Saleen S7 pen & ink

Thanks Alex!
Oh yes - I always use a reference . I just didnt follow this one quite so
close this time. It is like I got more interested in the marks than the car.
I love the design of the car though.

Subyfanatic I love the design of the BMW V12. What a beautiful car! Got to be one of the best looking racecars ever.
I don't know if I get her dada art thing though. That stuff seems mean spirited. Wonder how much she got paid for that concept. And what does she mean?
