Don't forget the different wheels and shaker hood.

Yeah, just another Mach 1 to me, nothing very special about it.

I prefer the new body style as of 2005 though.

i absolutely love those cars, because while everyone makes a huge deal about the 03/04 cobra (which was on almost everyones list in the recent lotto thread) the mach 1 runs roughly the same quarter mile time, and it's N/A, now imagine if someone took the time to supercharge a mach 1.

Re: Mach 1

Yeah, I could see how you'd think there was nothing special about that car if you drove a cavalier or an 89 lebaron. Now THOSE are nice cars. And Mach 1s and cobras do have some distance in their 1/4 mile..a good driver in a mach 1 runs low 13s..a bad driver in a cobra runs low 13s. FI Mach 1s are insane..theres a 1,000hp twin turbo mach 1.

Re: Mach 1

atleast my car is original, cant say the same thing for the ridiculous amounts of mustangs you see on the roads. Its a "MeToo" car. Someone says hey what kind of car do you drive, they say a Mustang and you respond with "MeToo".

My car is 1 of only about 200.

Re: Mach 1

Mach 1s are my favorite Mustang. Solid rear axel, 305 NA hp, and that cool shaker hood.

I prefer them to the new Mustangs. So yeap, if I were a Ford man, and wanted a fast street car, that would be the one for me!

I hate to be the smartass but all cars have the same distance in the 1/4 mile.

Nice Mach 1 BTW - I used to own a '73 Mach 1. The heaviest tank they ever made but the 351C was sweet.

Don't worry about being a smartass..you just came off as a dumbass. I said SOME distance in their times. As in cobras are faster than mach 1s. And wow, way to be original..you have a cavalier. Awesome.

which would means it's a drivers race with a slight edge towards the cobra... I've heard its hard to get the power to the pavement with the cobra.

I'm just curious why you're such an asshole to anyone that doesn't agree with you?

You know, Jayson hit the nail right on the head. Unlike a Mustang my LeBaron isn't a "me too" car. In 1989 they only made 1,033 hardtop LeBaron GTCs with the Turbo II. Of those 1,033 only 96 of them had California emissions. Sadly I can't break the production numbers down to options and trim. However, the point is that my car is pretty damn rare. I never said my car was better, nicer, or faster than the Mach 1. However, stock my last GTC ran 14.6 @ 98 MPH. Last time I checked, that isn't far off your times.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk when I said there wasn't anything special about the car I was just stating my opinion. I guess I must have hit a sore spot?
