Re: do your think this kit will fit my car
Just curious... what drives someone to mod out an almost 15 year old geo? It just doesn't seem like it would be worth it. Maybe its just me, but it just doesn't seem like there is really anything special about those cars.
On topic now: anything is possible, just depends on how much time or money you want to invest.

*coughs* You think that's bad?
I'm looking at doing an engine swap into a 1985 Pontiac Acadian (Chevette). Course, my reasoning is: 2000 pounds, rear wheel drive car, cheap. Why do this to such a car though? Well, my question is: What reason is there not to? Everyone and their dog can modify a BMW, a Civic, or any other commonly modified car, they have a thing called an aftermarket for them. So why do I want to go waste time and money on a shitbox? Because how many people have you seen cruising around, beating the shit out of other cars at the track with...a Chevette? It's something original to do, when so many people just flip through some trash-ass accessory catalogue. So what if I want to get a welder, some lengths of steel tubing and make a frame and cage for a Chevette, and then find an Aluminum block V6 of V8 (thinking about the 3.9L V8 from the new TBird, or the 4.2L V* from the Jags, they weigh a scant 380ish pounds). What is the point of this? Depending on how much the engine costs, I could have a "quick" car for less than $3000. Minimal headache, and if I fuck up, well, there's always another Chevette waiting to be molested. And for final reflection, if I can find one of these 3.9L or 4.2L blocks, that would only make my Acadian about 80 pounds heavier than with the current 1.6L Cast Iron anchor. Low weight, good power, and something original: What's bad about that? |

Re: do your think this kit will fit my car
aww, you should drop the 3cyl enigne in it and twin turbo the beast...that...would be bad ass. and a geo i would drive... "mah 3bager wil pwn yo' 4 bager or yo' VHEE 8...."

Re: do your think this kit will fit my car
you can turbo anything. just because there isnt a kit for it doesnt mean there isnt a turbo matched to its flow....twin turbo it with 2 turbos for 600cc bike engines or even the turbo's for lawn mowers...just have to fabricate the manifolds and all...

Re: do your think this kit will fit my car
the prizm is just a toyota corolla, I don't think you'd be as hard on him if his car had toyota badges rather than the geo badges. That kit will require ALOT of modification to fit since the newer one is a completely different version of the corolla chassis.
