Finally got this SOB figured out, I think.
After replacing every possible ignition part, and several mechanics later, this thing is finally ready to go. NO ONE could figure out the reason for it's hard-starting/ hesitating/backfiring/stalling/lack of power. Even the Chevy dealer misdiagnosed it for $300, and broke the throttle body cover to boot. (Thank you Penske Chevrolet, Indianapolis )An independent electric shop tested all systems (Gasp! Proper procedures, who'd of thunk it?!) and determined it needs a new fuel injector and fuel pressure regulator.... I am going to get a TBI unit today and have my mechanic buddy swap it out. After that, this car is history. Anyone interested in a '90 Lumina sedan? Clean, no rust, 102k miles, LOTS of new parts, and now, it runs great!! $1500, Indianapolis, IN, hit me up if interested. I just want to part ways with it and get back what I've got into trying to make it good.... Last edited by automan9482; 04-26-2005 at 12:31 PM. |

I wish I had the money. I wouldn't mind having it as a back up car.
