99 Jetta Coolant Problem

Hi

I'm the original owner of a '99 Jetta Wolfsburg (old body style) 111,000 miles. It now seems that every other week I have to fill up the over flow container with engine coolant (50 - 50 coolant and water). The mystery is that is not leaking anywhere that I can see. Today its low again, and I know its low becuase the red temp guage/light was flashing. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, the check engine light is on. again! I've read the postings on this problem and it seems that we are just SOL? The instrustment panel is very colorful at times with all these lights being displayed. When the turn signal is on and the fuel comes on with all the other lights it's kinda like a Christmas tree!!

Re: 99 Jetta Coolant Problem

The plastic flanges where the hoses meet the cylinder head are prone to crack & develop small leaks.
