Smile COMPLETED: EatonYale Hannu Mikkola RS1800 Rally Car

It's been a while but finally the Lombard RAC rally RS1800 piloted by Hannu Mikkola is finished. It is only a curbside model, no detail added to the engine, although photoetch belts have been added as well as Tamiya WRC bucket seats.

Kit went together nicer then expected and I would highly recommend picking up one of the re-releases.

Some feedback would be good.

Regards
WRCfan

Nice work WRCFan! Great to see another Mk2 on these pages, I'm going to have to buy one now! Long live Hannu...

Nice touch with the helmets on the roof too - what kit or manufacturer did they come from?

It looks really nice! in the whole a sweet model, except I d do the front window rubbers too, and polish the paint, but it's very nice.

Very nice looking car, I didn't expect it to be that good looking at the end (since it is not Tamygawa), looks like I will have to get me Revell reissue.
Great job.

Re: COMPLETED: EatonYale Hannu Mikkola RS1800 Rally Car

thanks all, I would have loved to do the window rubbers although my freehand brush skills are not quite there haha.
Helmets are open face Tamiya issue ones for the Peugeot 206WRC.

I would love to learn how to polish the paint on models to get the gleam that gives them that extra. If anyone knows of a good link on the web or has something they could email on would be brilliant!

Cheers
