low coolant level
My 2000 grand cherokee had no problems but was due for rear differential service. Since then I have been losing coolant. is there any possible relationship to the service performed?

Re: low coolant level
Not likely. I think you would call this a coincidental occurance!!!
Check the area under the water pump (fan or pulley) at the front of the engine. (6 or 8???) Put a piece of cardboard under the engine when you park the car for the nite.... check in the morning for spots and drip pattern as to where it might be coming from. JD |

Just my two cents
I have noticed that with my 2000GC at each change of seasong between fall and spring I get a couple of alarms for antifreeze. I fill the resevoir when the happen and have no problems after that. I dunno if thats good or bad but I have no problems with it after spring.

The first car I drove still had an alcohol bottle mounted under the hood. Since the onset of modern antifreeze, the coolant system has become one of the most neglected parts of any automotive system, unless you live in a desert. |
