Ok, mainly from lack of money to buy 200 dollar parts that i could make myself and just because making it yourself is fun and rewarding ive decided to build somethings...
Number one is to build myself a nice set of catchcans, this is gonna help neaten up my engine bay and keep it clean, for example at the moment the beather hole recirculates into the carbie hat and theres alof of oil overflow after a month or so of hard driving (like cornering fast and revving high) this gets baked onto my engine or dirties the filter and goes into the engine, my design which is ultra simple and easy for any novice to create is as follows; 15-25cm of steel tubing, or stainless tubing 50-75mm in diameter, end cap welded to one end, anoter end cap simply placed ontop of the cylinder which may have to be held in place by a rubber grommit or by some other simple means, then a simple braided line connecting from the cap to a rubber tube segment that can be tightened with hose clamps to the beather hole and the hose piece (no more leaking as well

and then a breather filter attached to the cap on top of the catcher cylinder top allow air to exit as oil enters.
thats my design, then all i have to do is polish it if it is stainless, or paint it with some high quality engine enamels which ive seen today to also come in chrome (does this fake chrome paint actually look ok?) but if all else fails the magnesium or aluminium colours lokos brilliant as well as black, lightning blue, ford red whatever.., at 11 bucks a pop it lasts for about 4 catch cans and looks stunning.
Anything else that would suit a novice or amatuer fabber?
