'88 regal cruise control

A year ago I had to change the crankshaft sensor of my regal, since then the cruise control doesn't work, when you press the Coast button, nothing happens and the light doesn't turn on either.

I've checked all the vaccuum lines.. they seem ok, the fuse is ok too, the cruise control switch is working and also the module is good.

I don't know what it could be the problem... I don't know where is the brake switch either (or the brake vacuum switch).

Thank you for any help.

Re: '88 regal cruise control

there are 2 cc brake switches 1 a vacuum disconect and 2 an electrical switch made in with the brake light switch, the electrical one is diffucult to see the vac switch is mounted about 5-6 inches above pedal pad where the pedal arm rests it has a black tube attached and goes through the bracket you will probably have to remove the lower kick panel once you find the switch make sure it is pressed as far as it can go against the pedal arm with out moving the brake pedal forward Good luck
