so i'm at work and this new chick leans over next to me and looks at my car mag. so i said "you like cars?" and she says yes. so i handed her my dupont registry. she then here's me telling this guy about a turbo beetle running a 15.2 and she says.

her: you know so much about cars, how fast does a 96 talon go in the quarter mile

me: stock?
her: yea, nothing done to it
me:low 15's high 14's
her: 13.8
me: what?
her: 13.8 and i have proof
me: show me the proof the driver and the car, hell just let me talk to the owner who drove the car
her: i swear me and my two friends where at the track and she ran a 13.8 in it
me: then it wasnt stock!
her: yes it was!
me: even if you were below sea level you couldnt run that
her: whatever you dont know about imports
me: i have a 3000gt vr4
her: i said a import
me: mitsubishi 3000gt is a import
her: you know what i mean, a real import!
me: i quit

i tried to talk some sense into her, but she seems not to want to listen.
what do i do people, let her be rice, or try to educate her?

Maybe it was a TSI AWD? But she said she had proof. So ask her for it then. If it's a timeslip, look it over, maybe it's the 1/8 . I dunno. But, if she has proof, ask her to provide it. Otherwise, educate the hell out of her, make her look stupid, and then say "It's alright, your just ignorant." J/K. But atleast show her the light. Maybe you can make a convert out of her. A true tuner chick, ya know? L8...

Ask her what her definition of a real import is? cause if a 3000GT isnt an import, than an Eagle Talon definately isnt...and wasn't Eagle owned by Chrysler?

id suggest that you just impress her rather than make a fool out ofher, cause ur gonna have to deal with her every day at work.

I think she was probably offended, and just made that stupid remark. Honestly I don't even bother correcting uneducated (in cars) girls. No offense, but they will never believe you, and it just makes for a drawn out arguement.

well the thing is, when i asked for her proof she started bluffing as if she didnt really have the proof.

the more she felt stupid the more excuses she started trying to make, like. it was my friends brothers car and he let us take it to the track and race it.
she even said at one point, "maybe it was a supra" so then when i tell her that that makes more sense, she again says "no it was a talon, i'm positive"

i think i'll slowly try to educate her, and turn her from rice to enthusiast. or i'll tel her to come to af
