I am trying to add Keyless entry to a 2001 Blazer that has power locks, but was not originally equipped with Keyless entry. I have the correct key fob and have also installed the RCDLR under the driver's side dash. I understand that the BCM must "learn" that I now have Keyless entry, but have no idea how this is done. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks GMPowered |

Automotive Forums - Keyless Entry Questions Where did you find an aftermarket RCDLR? What does it look like? I've got a 2000 Blazer LS that I'd like to do the same thing to, but want to make sure it doesn't already have one. |

Rcdlr
Not aftermarket, I bought the GM RCDLR, part number 15042969 (any GM dealer.)
It is located under the driver side dash near the parking brake release. It is a small box about 3" x 2". If the box is not there then you should see the wiring connector. I still haven't figured out exactly what needs to be done to re-program the BCM..............Any ideas?? GMPowered |
