fmic/piping

Hey guys. First off, does anyone have any opinions on Megan Racing parts? I've been looking at their large fmic core only - http://www.meganracing.com/products/...asp?prodid=313 and it looks to be a decent size for that price! Second is that the inlet size for the core is 2.75", and outlet is 3". I want to buy the Dejon upper ic L and S pipes, but they are only 2 1/4". If I get custom pipes bent up for the core, is there any way I could still use the Dejon pipes?

Re: fmic/piping

I had Megan Racing springs on my 98 Spyder NT. Those pieces of shit sagged like crazy after 2 months...

Re: fmic/piping

I've had pretty good luck with Megan Racing. I bought a cat-back from them once and it looked and performed amazing. Also, I have front and rear strut tower bars and they are excelent as well. I think it's one of those rare companies that has good prices AND decent products.

Hey george, where have you been lately?
It has 24k original miles on it, so it kinda makes up for it lol

So is this all the info anyone has on Megan Racing?

Great, thanks Joe! That IC looks better than the Megan one, plus that person at tuners gave it a good review.

Re: fmic/piping

OBX makes an IC exactly like that one. There are many of those on ebay for around $250.

Re: fmic/piping

The OBX's on ebay are about the same size as the Streetimports, have bigger inlet/outlet diameter (3"), cost $100 less, and most importantly it's bar and plate--the streetimports IC is tube and fin. If it were me I'd get the OBX.

Re: fmic/piping

Main difference: Bar and plate allows more air through. It also wont dent as easily but weighs more than tube and fin. Greddy intercoolers are tube and fin, Spearco's are bar and plate.

Here's a closeup of a bar and plate:

And here's tube and fin:
