starting issues

1988 turbo starts fine till operating temp after that wont start. runs fine and starts fine untill it gets hot. sometimes you can tap fuse block in engine compartment and it will fire back up does that sound like a bad relay any help would be appreciated engine turns over fine just wont fire up till it cools back down

Have a look at the wires. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere.

i've heard of racecars that when their engine get hot, it wont restart because the starter will inturupt it, thinking it's been overheated. is ur car a manual and maybe the clutch or starter is getting to hot, and it may have an override?

i know it sounds stupid, but hell toyota and all other japanesse cars were putting some weird shit into thier cars in the late 80's and early 90's

i have checked all the wires into fuse block and they all look good i bought a new main fuse and put it in and it would not start so i pulled new one out and put old one back in and it fired right up. could it be that relay goinog bad and they gave me another bad one the letters on the new one were wore off you could not read it it looked older than my old one dont know what else to check

have you check the ignition coil ?
