Whats the going rate on a 64 skylark?

Hey guys I was thinking about buying a 1964 Skylark and I was just wondering how much they are worth. It has a straight body with only one dent on the hood. It supposedly has a rebuilt 300 in it with no power steering or power brakes. Most of the restoration is just cosmetics i.e needs new carpet, seats, door panels, and head board. The guy is asking $4500, but he bought it from an auction yard so Im pretty sure he is blowing some smoke. So if you guys could let me know I would appreciate it alot. Thank you.

I just saw a 67 in real nice condition, original, go for $3000 5-6 months ago. So depending on what's done to it, and what needs to be done is how I'd base its value.

just rember, they are not dropping in value. They are really starting to pick up. Although, 64 is alittle early for the "sought after" years. But still real nice cars. Getting really hard to find a skylark or GS going for under 5K that's in decent condition.

Good Luck.
