Not sure exactly what i should do.
Ok, have a very small problem, well, you know the 2 switches on the clutch pedal that see if you are pushing in the clutch when you start your car, well, on the clutch pedal is these little plastic or rubbler little pad things that make the switches, the bottom switch is open and the top is closed to start so all i really have to do is jump off the top switch to make it think it's closed or i could get new little pad things. where whould i find such a part and what is it called, i cant find what they are exactly in any manual.

well if you eliminate the switch then you will be able to start your car without pushing in the clutch. now its not so bad if its your driving, hopefully youll remember to always put it in neutral but it gets worse when other people have to drive it because other people are stupid

yea, just splice the two wires together and don't worry about getting the rest of the clutch interlock switch stuff. i did this and it works fine. and as civickiller said, be careful when you start the car so that you don't start it in gear if you don't start it with the clutch in. i think volkswagen did this to the a2 manual transmission cars.

yeah vlad is right. and yeah the mk2 and mk3 can be started without the clutch being engaged, the mk1 probably can too.

cool, i was thinking of hideing a switch somewhere w/ those wires going to it as kind of a antitheft switch but it might get anoying.

not a bad idea. im gonna to get "The club" thing for the clutch pedal and something else that i'll keep secret.
