Hi I would like to know if I gain more power by just removing the stock cat whitout replacing it or if I gain more power with an high flow cat.

well, if you just removed the cat, you'd have about 10 inches of open space between your downpipe/midpipe and your cat-back, but if youre talking about putting a straight pipe in, of course it would give more horspower than a high flow cat

Re: Remove the cat or hightflow cat ?
I had a custom pipe from manifold all the way back with no cat, but come inspection time, I had to take a hacksaw to it and put in a highflow cat. Just make sure you know your state inspection laws before spending loads of money. Or do it the cheap way like I did :-)

get a custom exhaust and put a test pipe in so you can remove it and put a cat in whenever

I guess that would work too, never thought of it, But Im too lazy anyway, I'll just leave the high flow cat in there.
